GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Attention all nerds, comic book fans and superhero lovers! You are invited to attend Goodwill’s first ever Geekfest event on May 7 and May 8. The event will be held at the GoodFurniture store located at 5487 S. Division Avenue, Wyoming, MI 49548. The store hours on Saturday, May 7 are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, May 8 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
There will be a variety of merchandise ranging from Dr. Who to the Avengers! We will be selling new and used items for all things “geek”. Prices will range from $1 – $20! Customers are encouraged to dress up and get your geek on! Additionally, there will also be delicious snacks provided by Goodwill’s Blue Spoon Catering & Event Planning.
Free Comic Book day happens to fall on May 7 this year and to celebrate Goodwill will be giving away 100 comic books for the kickoff of the event! Make sure to stop by early to get yours! Free Comic Book day is a promotional effort by the North American Comic Book industry.
Geekfest will be an event during our celebration of National Goodwill Week which is the first week of May. Goodwill of Greater Grand Rapids is turning 50 this year.
